Hello Beautiful Person!
Bunny with a Toolbelt is a Portland, OR business that creates animals, wedding cake toppers, and other small sculptures from over 75% recycled wood and other materials. It is run by Hilary Pfeifer, a craft-influenced sculptor who has always had a not-so-secret love of creating one of a kind multiples.
Hilary started making her living from her artwork in 1989. Somewhere along the way, she adopted the name Bunny with a Toolbelt, which encapsulated the way she loves to learn and work in many different art media. She also liked the name because she was quite fond of appearing in public in a bunny suit right around that time. She doesn't do that too often these days, but still thinks it's a great business name.
Bunny with a Toolbelt is only part of Hilary's creative output. She also maintains a studio practice creating sculptural works in wood and metal since graduating from Oregon College of Art and Craft in 1999, Hilary has also designed many public art projects around Oregon with laser cut stainless steel. Do you want to see this work? It's at her other website: hilarypfeifer.com.
A few years ago, Hilary was honored to the the subject of a feature article in American Craft Magazine.
